Why attend SCU this year? Here’s the Top 6 Reasons why you do not want to miss SCU2016!

1) Speaker and session lineup: The speaker list for this year is top notch, check it out! (sorted alphabetically)

To check out the full lineup check out the agenda at http://www.systemcenteruniverse.com/agenda.htm

2) Technology focus areas at SCU:

  • Azure Automation
  • Configuration Manager
  • Hyper-V and Failover Clustering
  • Intune
  • IoT
  • OMS
  • Operations Manager
  • Windows 10 Deployment
  • Windows Server 2016
  • And more!

3) Multiple tracks with multiple streams! SCU in America is running two tracks with both of being live streamed! Check out both live streams at http://www.systemcenteruniverse.com.  This year SCU has partnered with Channel9 to find the content from SCU after the event. Check out https://channel9.msdn.com/ after the event for the video content from SCU.

4) Special guests: Rod Trent is joining us at SCU and we could not be more excited to have him in attendance again! He will be running SCU social media throughout the day so follow @RodTrent and @SCU2016!

5) Venue/locations: SCU is being simulcast to over a dozen user group locations around the world. If you can’t come to Irving Texas, check out the location list to find a user group near you to attend the event (http://www.systemcenteruniverse.com/venue.htm). If there isn’t a user group location near you, you can still attend virtually.

6) Top notch sponsors: SCU has an incredible set of sponsors who augment System Center and Azure. These include Catapult Systems, Microsoft, Veeam, Adaptiva, Secunia, Heat Software, 1E, MPx Alliance, Squared Up, and Cireson (http://www.systemcenteruniverse.com/sponsors.htm). Each of these sponsors is part of the System Center community and is definitely worth taking some time to sit down and talk with.

On a personal note, this event will be a couple of first-times for me at SCU this year. The first of these is that yes, I am actually presenting a session at SCU entitled Strategies to win a “Do more with less” IT World. For those who are real SCU history buffs I have never had an official session before. SCU 2012 I was a substitute presenter and had to step in and do a session for a presenter who was snowed in but I’ve never actually been on the SCU America agenda before with my own session! Additionally, this year I will be serving as the emcee for the ECM track and I’m honored to say that we will have Pete Zerger covering the CDM track. Finally, in my session I will be announcing the secret initiative that I have been working on since early in 2015. All in all this should make for a very interesting SCU event!
