In my lab environment I had installed SCVMM 2012 and had migrated my hosts from a previous SCVMM 2008 R2 configuration. When I attempted to move a virtual between hosts I received an error when trying to move the virtual that it was unable to migrate machines due to “No connection to logical network <Network> with sufficient resources could be found.

Cannot place virtual on host

It turns out that this is due to a shift in how network resources are defined in SCVMM 2012. I used the two blog articles at the end of this blog article to define the fabric for my external connectivity, assigned the hardware for each host and configured the virtual networks on each host as shown in the graphics below.

After making these changes I was able to move virtuals between hosts in my environment!

Summary: Getting this message (“No connection to logical network <Network> with sufficient resources could be found.”) when trying to move virtual machines in System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012? Look into defining Logical Networks in the Fabric section of VMM.
