I installed OpsMgr 2012 today for the first time in my home private cloud lab. I will say that the installation is much easier than OpsMgr 2007 R2. Here are the details of the server build.

· Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 fully updated with Windows security updates

· All available v3.x.x .NET Framework service packs and updates

· .NET Framework v4.0.x

· The account that installs OpsMgr 2012 must be a member of the sysadmin server role for Microsoft SQL Server

· Microsoft Report Viewer 2008 SP1 Redistributable download

· System Center Operations Manager 2012 RC2 download

OpsMgr Service Accounts per this KB article

· Management Server Action account

· System Center Configuration Service and System Center Data Access service account. In Operations Manager, you can use the same account for both services.

· Data Warehouse Write account

· Data Reader account

These accounts are created as domain user accounts and added to the local Administrators group on the target server.
