Evolution is coming to TechEd… Operations Manager Evolution that is. J

I am excited to say that I have a session which was accepted to present at TechEd 2014. I am greatly looking forward to presenting "Evolution of Infrastructure Monitoring: Taking Your Environment to the Next Level with Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager". The session abstract is below:

If you are an Operations Manager administrator or want to be, this is the session you have been looking for. This is not a history lesson on Operations Manager but rather a "lessons learned in the field" presentation that will allow you to take Operations Manager to the next level. Topics include maintenance, integration, dashboards, and what is new above and beyond System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager.

For those of you who remember this presentation in its earlier incarnation at MMS 2011, here’s a discussion which was posted on it: http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2011/03/07/a-must-see-session-at-mms-2011-cameron-fuller-s-opsmgr-evolution.aspx (and the video is available here). Since bringing this to the big stage at MMS in 2011 I have done updated presentations as part of the MVP pro series in 2013, HASMUG in 2013, SCU DACH (now SCU Europe) in 2013, and SCU APAC in 2014. Each session is recreated to include the latest updates in the world of Operations Manager so each incarnation of this is different than the one before it.

My goal for this session is to provide the must-see Operations Manager focused session for TechEd using a lively and up-beat format. To do this I need your help. If you have suggestions for what Operations Manager administrators really must know, tricks that make your life easier, or just something really cool to include send me a comment on this blog post. If you identify a great addition for this presentation I will credit you for your contributions live during this session.

I look forward to seeing my fellow Operations Manager administrators or those who want to be Operations Manager administrators at this session at TechEd!
