Interesting lesson learned the other day: HOW you publish your schedule has an impact on how your data is visible in MOPS 2007.

Publishing from PWA is handy and easy to do, but it doesn’t actually publish everything. We noticed some discrepancies between our timesheet data and our project data, and, after much digging, traced it back to this behavior.

If you’re moving tasks around, assigning new resources to tasks, or other day-to-day schedule maintenance, publishing from PWA works great. However, when you’re incorporating actuals into your schedule, you are going to be better off publishing from Project Pro.
