Our Houston office recently closed a whopper of a deal for a global non-profit: the client signed a Net New EA with Microsoft, valued at $2.5 million per year for three years! Fantastic work, Houston!

Tired of relying on Lotus Notes for email and applications, and wishing to upgrade their Windows XP environment, the client approached Catapult Systems to assist with a comprehensive desktop and infrastructure upgrade. Having worked together in 2009 building a PKI solution on the System Center Management Suite, they entrusted Catapult with architecting a worldwide deployment of Windows 7 Optimized Desktops for the company.

Catapult designed a global migration and deployment roadmap, starting with a Proof of Concept (POC) lab environment for 100 users in the Houston office. First Catapult created two Windows 7 images, and developed Windows 7 management group policies, application policies, and BitLocker management. Next, Unified Access Gateway was installed and configured in Houston and DR Site for DirectAccess, SCCM Internet Based Client Management, and Exchange Remote Access. Over 100 applications were imported and scripted to be delivered via System Center 2012 Configuration Manager. Finally, Exchange 2010 On-Premise and Office 365 were configured for coexistence with Lotus Notes and deployed in Houston and DR Site.

Catapult’s solution directly influenced the client signing a $2.5 million Net New EA with Microsoft for three years, encompassing a broad range of the Microsoft product suite, including Azure, CRM, Exchange, Forefront EndPoint Protection, Unified Access Gateway, Lync Enterprise, Office 365, System Center 2012, and Windows 7. Now that the POC in Houston is complete, the client has asked Catapult to roll out deployment to the entire organization of 6000 users in 70 countries by the end of 2012.
