Ever wonder how to how to type multiple rows of text in a cell? I’m not talking about Wrap Text, which conveniently (or inconveniently, depending on how you look at it) moves your text into different rows so it will fit within the width of a cell. I’m talking about empowering yourself to move that text into different rows without Excel doing it against your will. 😉

Say you’re making mailing labels and want to have two columns, Name and Address, with the city and state on a separate line from the street address. Easy enough – all you have to do is press Alt + Enter – this shortcut is the equivalent of the Enter key within a single cell in Excel.
