Prerequisites

  1. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 source files in a folder on the root of C:\
  2. Experience with System Center Configuration Manger administration including creating a SCCM package, program and advertisements.

Create the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Package

The /A switch creates a Windows Installer package for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 201 for Outlook by creating a Windows Installer package with administrative installation privileges.

  1. Start > Run > Type the "Path to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011"\ SetupClient.exe /A

    Example C:\microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011\SetupClient.exe /A

     

  2. The Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Splash Screen appears > Accept the License Agreement terms > Click Next

  1. The wizard creates the package with Administrative Installation privileges

     

  2. Click Close

Distribute the package in System Center Configuration Manager

  1. Copy the folder that contains the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and the new Windows Installer to the SCCM server where your source files are stored.
  2. Create a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 package in SCCM
  3. Create the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 program in SCCM. When configuring the Command Line parameters for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 program for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 package use the following switch to install the client with no user interaction.

    SetupClient.exe /q

  4. Distribute the package to Distribution Points
  5. Create the SCCM advertisement
  6. Add to your SCCM collections and distribute
  7. The URL for the CRM application will have to be configured after launching Outlook
