9:30-10:30 Cameron Fuller – What’s Coming Soon in the Operations Manager 3rd Party Extensions Space

In this session Cameron will focus on the soon to be released updated Live Maps by Savision, the Hyper-V management pack under development by Veeam, and the SVT Essentials product. Cameron Fuller is some geek with an Operations Manager blog.  

10:45-11:45 Tim Mintner – Planning and Migrating from VMware to Hyper-V

This session will cover the process of planning and executing the migration from VMware to System Center and Hyper-V.  This will cover how you can use System Center Orchestrator along with Microsoft conversion tools like MVMC and MAT to inventory and convert virtual machines. Tim has spent nearly 20 years migrating systems whether they are Windows desktop operating systems, windows server operating systems, or virtual machines.  Tim was a member of Microsoft’s Solution Accelerator Team and developed 6 different versions of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.  Tim is also the lead developer for Xtreme VM Migrator, an automation tool for migrating virtual machines from VMware to Hyper-V.  Tim has been published in Technet Magazine and has spoken at Microsoft events in the United States and Europe.

12:45-1:45 John Savill – Deep dive into the new Hyper-V features in Windows Server 2012 R2

The one the only John Savill, will provide us a deep dive into the Hyper-V features in Windows Server 2012 R2. John is a regular speaker at TechEd and Windows IT Pro Connections, author of multiple books on Microsoft technologies, a senior contributing editor for Windows IT Pro magazine, and founder of the John Savill Master Series classes.

2:00-3:00 Matthew Dowst – From Orchestrator to SMA and Back Again

The future of IT Automation is here, and it is named Service Management Automation (SMA). Orchestrator (previously Opalis), is now in its 7 generation, and is a tried and tested automation tool. Both solutions have their advantages and disadvantages. In this session Matthew Dowst will show you how you can leverage both tools together, to provide you the best multi-platform automation.
