A Houston-based energy company was paying $100k annually for McAfee Anti-Virus. As a Microsoft EA customer, they wanted to better leverage their Microsoft investment and replace McAfee Anti-Virus with System Center Endpoint Protection.

Catapult initially presented a robust solution based on System Center Endpoint Protection for the protection, monitoring, and management of laptop, desktop, and server clients.  This would replace the legacy McAfee solution and consolidate management, configuration, and licensing into the Microsoft-based infrastructure stack. UItimately, the project grew substantially to include the architecture build-out for System Center Configuration Manager, Operations Manager, and Orchestrator to support future deployments and replace IBM Tivoli and BigFix.

Catapult replaced McAfee Anti-Virus with System Center Endpoint Protection, Forefront Protection for Exchange, and ForeFront Protection for SharePoint across nearly 10,000 desktops and hundreds of servers, saving the client from a costly renewal with McAfee.
