During a recent client engagement, one of my co-workers ran into a few items with Savision Live Maps which I thought would be good to share what the issue was and what the resolution was.
Web Console installation error:
When installing we ran into issues installing the Savision web console. The message was: “Error 1001. An exception occurred in the OnAfterInstall event handler of Savision.LiveMaps.WebConsole.Installation.WebConsoleInstaller. –> Unable to create website –-> A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated [Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070520)”.
Resolution: Digging around on the web this appeared to be an SSL related error. We removed the checkbox for SSL and the installation worked.
Error when opening Savision Live Maps
We received the following error when attempting to open Savision Live Maps: “Unable to connect to management group. Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index”.
The error above occurred when opening the Savision Live maps and the resolution was to activate the license for Savision live maps and re-try.
Error when opening a state alert
When opening a alert the following error occurred: “Log on to the OpsMgr 2012 web console failed. Please contact your system administrator.”
Resolution: Change the savision configuration to reference the FQDN of the server (https://<server name>.mydomain.pvt/operationsmanager instead of https://<server name>/operationsmanager).
This may have been a one-off situation but all tasks were missing from remote consoles, such as the ReSearch This tasks or the built-in tasks.
Resolution: After I installed the LM Console Extensions, I was able to get the Alert Tasks, Tasks, etc to appear.
Thank you to Larry Rayl for sharing this information with me to get out to the Operations Manager community to more quickly address any configuration issues with Live Maps!
