At Catapult Systems quality is planned for and built in – it doesn’t just happen. To that end, when you engage a Catapult project team, there are many layers of quality assurance taken to ensure successful delivery.
Getting Started
Even before your project begins Catapult takes steps to ensure each project team arrives with all the support and preparation required to ensure delivery quality, including:
- An appointed corporate solution lead for each solution delivery area to help set the delivery technical direction, preferred architectures, and design and development best practices, while consolidating the best available reusable assets.
- A designated local solution lead who shares management responsibility with the Catapult project lead, working in tandem with each project team to review and validate that the specific technical direction being taken is following best practices in architecture guidelines, delivery approach and quality validation.
- Providing fully trained consultants who are current in applicable technology certifications. Catapult also maintains comprehensive repositories of technical materials and is active in technical forums to allow our consultants to get quick and reliable answers from the entire Catapult community.
During project execution Catapult ensures quality delivery by:
- Providing a technical lead and/or solution architect, depending on the size of the engagement, to ensure onsite technical guidance is followed every step of the way.
- At the beginning of each project Catapult project teams put together quality assurance plans which anticipate and outline all the necessary steps to ensure completeness and quality in requirements gathering, user experience and technical design validations, test plan development and hands-on deliverable quality reviews.
- Following the quality assurance plan, testing activities begin with traceability to requirements and follow proven Catapult testing techniques to validate functional, reliable and high performing applications.
- Even the best built solutions will not achieve their highest return for the client’s investment if the organization is not ready to effectively and efficiently use the new solution and support it going forward. As a result, Catapult project teams also evaluate the current level of organizational readiness, and help our clients to deliver the right amount of change management (communication, training, role development) that’s needed for the solution being delivered.
- As project sizes grow, unique challenges are introduced that must be addressed. Catapult’s Large Project QA Delivery Review Methodology helps project teams anticipate these challenges and develop customized risk mitigation strategies.
Catapult stands behind our work. It is not only our goal to be easy to work with, but also to always ensure we’ve met the client’s needs with the highest quality solution possible. In every project, we match our many layers of preparation and execution disciplines to the solution challenges at hand to meet these goals.
