Catapult Systems Launches San Antonio Practice
AUSTIN, Texas – April 12, 2004 – Catapult Systems, a Texas-based technology consulting firm, announced today that it has opened a San Antonio practice. The new practice will focus primarily on Microsoft enterprise application development, e-business solutions, and enterprise mobility.
Catapult Systems has provided technology solutions to Texas companies for over 10 years and has established practices in Houston and Austin. "Our new San Antonio practice is part of our regional expansion plans to better serve our Texas clients,” said Sam Goodner, CEO of Catapult Systems. “Most Texas companies want to know exactly who they’re dealing with when implementing a mission-critical system. Too many organizations have been burned by out-of-town, over-priced vendors who may not put as much importance on their reputation in the local market.”
Catapult’s new offices are located at One International Center centrally located to both downtown and the growth corridor in North Central San Antonio. Shawn Lanham, Catapult’s General Manager for the San Antonio region, says that he is actively recruiting for the firm's growing needs and plans to hire approximately 20 information technology professionals in San Antonio over the next 12 months.
"The demand for our services is steady and growing. A world class provider who is locally based, competitive, and financially secure is very attractive to the San Antonio business community," Lanham says. Among Catapult’s existing San Antonio clients are The Scooter Store, World Savings, and Padgett & Strateman.
As the former General Manager for G. A. Sullivan prior to their recent acquisition by Avanade, Lanham understands the local San Antonio market well. "I would call it the beginning of a new tidal wave," Lanham says, referring to the demand for software development services among San Antonio companies. “I believe that more and more companies understand the business value that can be gained from utilizing many of today’s web-based and mobile technologies, and how these technologies can give them a competitive edge.”
