Catapult Systems joins RosettaNet High Tech Consortium

AUSTIN, Texas – November 6, 2001 – Catapult Systems, an Austin-based e-business consulting and software products company, announced today that it has joined RosettaNet, a self-funded, non-profit consortium of major information technology, electronic components and semiconductor manufacturing companies working to create and implement industry-wide, open e-business process standards to form a common supply chain language.

“We are excited about the new opportunities that a partnership with RosettaNet brings to us as an organization,” says Catapult’s CEO, Sam Goodner. “Although we have been working with RosettaNet for more than a year, membership in the consortium solidifies our commitment to RosettaNet XML-based standards and allows us to offer a new level of support to our growing customer base.”

“On behalf of RosettaNet, we are pleased to welcome Catapult Systems to the consortium’s growing roster of industry leading companies,” said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. “In addition, we look forward to Catapult’s future role in helping drive RosettaNet e-business process standards forward in the high tech industry.”

Catapult has used the RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF) to implement Partner Interface Processes™ (PIPs) for Reptron Electronics, and utilized Extricity 4.5 to implement a variety of PIPs to be used with Tokyo Electron America’s trading partners. Catapult was also instrumental in developing the Microsoftâ BizTalk™ Server Accelerator for RosettaNet in a joint effort with the Microsoft BizTalk Server product team.
