Catapult Systems Unveils New Strategic Direction with Microsoft
AUSTIN, Texas – January 31, 2003 – Catapult Systems, an Austin-based information technology (IT) consulting company, announced today a new strategic direction and closer allegiance to Microsoft Corp. After 10 years in the custom application development business using tools from a variety of vendors, Catapult has committed all of its resources to delivering Microsoft solutions exclusively.
"Since we were founded in 1993, we have always prided ourselves on being technology agnostics," said Sam Goodner, Catapult's CEO. "However, the consulting market has changed dramatically in the past two years and customers are demanding more value for their money. We believe that Microsoft provides the most cost-effective solutions and most flexible development tools available today."
Catapult Systems continues to deliver IT solutions for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 2000 firms in industries as diverse as high tech, manufacturing, real estate, government, healthcare, energy, finance, and biotech. Their new strategy leverages the full suite of Microsoft products to provide complete end-to-end solutions including E-Commerce, Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Application Integration, Business-to-Business Integration, Content Management, Business Intelligence, and Knowledge Management.
"Catapult Systems has been a valued partner to Microsoft due to their dynamic business solutions and high levels of customer satisfaction," said Phil Sorgen, General Manager of the Microsoft Gulf Coast District. "Microsoft is excited to extend our strategic relationship with Catapult Systems by leveraging their expertise in providing our mutual customers with long-term, cost-effective solutions based on .NET."
"This new direction has given our company tremendous focus," says Goodner. "We can now concentrate all of our internal training, technical certifications, and customer seminars on Microsoft products and send a very clear message to the market - we know Microsoft!"
Catapult Systems is one of only a few companies in Texas that have achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status. The Gold Partner designation helps customers identify vendors that have demonstrated their expertise in Microsoft technologies. Gold Certified Partners must meet a stringent set of criteria, including specialized certifications and an extensive portfolio of real-world customer references.
"We are very excited that Catapult Systems is a part of the Microsoft Business Solutions family," commented Ross Muery, District General Manager for Microsoft Business Solutions. "Their many years of experience in the traditional Microsoft arenas of application development and infrastructure position them very well in the business solutions space, particularly customer relationship management. Catapult's expertise with Microsoft .NET will be a major contributor to their success with MS CRM."
