Catapult Systems launches Clean Air Web application
for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce
AUSTIN, Texas – March 23, 2002 – Catapult Systems Corp. announced today the successful launch of the Clean Air Partners Emissions Tools website, a robust web application supporting the Clean Air Partners Program.
The web application allows businesses to identify their own activities that lead to the formation of ground-level ozone, select emissions reduction measures appropriate for their business, and report their voluntary reductions. The emission tools were developed by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Clean Air Task Force in cooperation with the Clean Air Partners Program. In an effort to keep the Central Texas area from falling under federally mandated programs, local businesses participate in the Clean Air Partners Program to voluntarily reduce their ozone-forming emissions.
“The Emissions Profile and Emissions Reduction Choices tools developed by the Chamber’s Clean Air Task Force were intended to help our Central Texas businesses participate in a voluntary emissions reduction program to keep our air clean,” said Mark Hazelwood, President and CEO of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. “By web-enabling these tools for the Internet, Catapult has helped us make them easily accessible to all businesses in the area.”
"Catapult was instrumental in the successful launch of the Chamber’s Emissions Web Application and provided invaluable post launch assistance,” said David Balfour, Senior Vice President for URS Corporation and Chair of the Chamber’s Clean Air Task Force. “They have been on time and budget throughout the project, and the level of written and verbal communication provided by Catapult ensured there were no surprises.”
