What SharePoint can do with Workflow by K2

At the May meeting of the Central Texas SharePoint User Group, K2 will be presenting on what SharePoint can do with workflow and where it runs into limitations.

MOSS provides many features to assist us in building out applications.  However, it can be difficult to string these features together in a well defined business process.  To this end, K2 will be presenting an example of a  business process around the management of contracts.  In this presentation, you will see how MOSS features such as search, SSRS integration,  workspace provisioning and security management is all wrapped up into a single business process application. 

K2 blackpearl is a platform on which people can easily assemble and execute Microsoft-based workflow applications.  Workflow tools are commonly thought of as technical, used primarily by IT professionals.  K2 provides these tools but also expands the toolset to allow all users, regardless of technical knowlege, the ability to create workflow processes that span people and line-of-business applications.

A core group of Austin companies has established this User Group as a forum for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server pros to share ideas and learning about this hot technology. Similar groups in Dallas and Houston have seen rapid growth and tremendous popularity, and we want to make this important resource available locally.
