Catapult Systems Announces New General Manager
for Tampa Practice

AUSTIN, Texas – January 7, 2008 – Catapult Systems, a leading Microsoft consulting firm and nationally managed Microsoft Gold Certified partner, today announced the appointment of Terri Burmeister as general manager of its Tampa, Florida practice. With responsibility for developing new business, building strategic partnerships and overseeing consulting operations, Burmeister’s goals for the practice include aggressive expansion and increasing the market share of the Microsoft practice.
Burmeister brings 14 years’ experience in the IT services industry in the central Florida area to the Catapult Tampa practice. Previously with Sogeti, formerly Software Architects, Burmeister served as business development director, playing an integral role in that company’s development and expansion into the Florida market. She was also responsible for establishing Software Architects as one of Microsoft’s most valued relationships in Florida.
“I joined Catapult because I believe that this company is uniquely positioned be a true end-to-end Microsoft technology solution partner for its Tampa Bay area clients,” said Burmeister. “Few can match Catapult’s holistic approach that spans the infrastructure, enterprise business solutions and custom application development. And none can offer clients the experience, commitment and Microsoft partnership resources that Catapult can.”
Microsoft and Catapult have enjoyed tremendous success in Tampa,” said Bill Forsyth, general manager of Microsoft’s Greater Southeast Area. “The appointment of Terri Burmeister to serve as the general manager of Catapult’s Tampa operations demonstrates the company’s dedication to our partnership and our Florida customers. We applaud Catapult for its commitment to the Tampa-St. Petersburg area, and we are excited to continue our future collaboration efforts.”
“With her drive, experience and intimate knowledge of the industry and market, Terri is an ideal leader for Catapult Tampa,” said Sam Goodner, chief executive officer, Catapult Systems. “Clients welcome the opportunity to work with a trusted partner that takes the time to understand their businesses and goals, and Terri’s addition is our confirmation that we are in the Tampa market to stay – that we will be around to be that partner for them.”
A primary goal for Burmeister is the doubling of the Catapult Tampa workforce in 2008. “It’s a competitive hiring market, but I am confident that with the many benefits that Catapult brings to the table, and with the solid foundation of the successes that this practice has been delivering for the past year, we will be able to attract the right people – those who demonstrate both the technological excellence and the integrity for which Catapult is known.”
