Catapult Systems Wins Microsoft ACE Award
AUSTIN, Texas – June 18, 2008 – Catapult Systems, a leading Microsoft consulting firm and Microsoft National Systems Integrator (NSI), announced that it has won a prestigious Microsoft ACE award. With only three such awards given out worldwide, this is another example of Catapult’s commitment to service excellence.
Microsoft established the Application Compatibility Engagement (ACE) award to recognize their partners that have shown exceptional capabilities in facilitating the migration process to Vista and Office 2007 for their clients. Organizations typically have hundreds of applications installed on all the computers in their network environment. When migrating to a new version of an operating system, every application must be carefully tested to avoid compatibility issues, ranging from loss of functionality to critical application failure.
Catapult Systems provides a full range of services around application compatibility including inventorying current applications, prioritizing and rationalizing the applications to test and support, testing the applications, and remediating the incompatible software. Catapult won the ACE award for its work with a Houston-based Global 2000 oil & gas company. To date, Catapult has analyzed 38 applications, remediated seven of them, and the project is expected to continue for at least another year and a half.
“Being selected for the ACE award reflects Catapult’s commitment to helping our clients migrate to the latest Microsoft technologies,” said Sam Goodner, chief executive officer of Catapult Systems. “We look forward to leveraging our experience with other clients, and we are proud to have been recognized as experts by Microsoft.”
