Catapult Improves Internal Collaboration for Document Solution Leader

The client is a world-leader in document solutions and business services. It has a global network of more than 1,500 locations which offer copying and digital printing; computer rentals; and document creation, finishing and shipping services.

The client’s intranet portal consisted of five disparate legacy systems. This disjointed environment lacked consistent formatting, search tools and document management. The multiple systems caused slow system response and limited collaboration capability. In addition, the legacy systems were each supported by different external suppliers, making support unreliable and expensive.

Catapult Systems developed a solution to replace the client’s legacy technology using SharePoint Server 2007. Using requirements gathered during rigorous envisioning sessions led by Catapult, the team created a solution that streamlined business processes, reduced administration, enabled team collaboration and improved data access.
