Job Summary

This person will be responsible for availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of SharePoint server farms.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the configuration of SharePoint Server
• Responsible for administering & managing the SharePoint farms and databases
• Maintains and enforces SharePoint Governance policies
• Ensure the integrity and security of SharePoint data in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
• Perform and test routine SharePoint backups and restores
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve SharePoint problems and escalate incidents as necessary
• Support application development teams and system administrators throughout project lifecycles
• Analyze SharePoint, server, application, network, and input/output device performance using Catapult’s methodologies and best practices
• Recommend and perform software upgrades, patches and reconfigurations
• Maintain policies and procedures for SharePoint administration

Required experience:

• Minimum 2 years working in SharePoint 2007 farm administration

Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent customer support and communication skills
• Resourceful, self-starter attitude
• Working technical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, SQL server and networks
• Application support experience with SharePoint and WSS
• Working technical knowledge of current SharePoint software, protocols, and standards
• Knowledge of networking concepts like TCP/IP and Load Balancing
• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
• Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information
• MCP and MCTS certification a plus
• Virtualization experience is preferred
• System Center Operations Manager experience is preferred
