Summary: Catapult Systems is looking for a BI consultant for a full-time role. The candidate must be able to implement solutions in the Microsoft BI stack. This candidate should be able to help translate business requirements into a solution design and then implement the design. Candidates who have strong business analysis skills and can lead requirements and design as well as implementation would be a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Participate with development team to develop data warehouse and business intelligence solutions utilizing the Microsoft BI product stack (Mainly SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Reporting Services).
- Data modeling based on business requirements, and optimization of data models for business intelligence implementations.
- Maintenance of existing data warehouse and business intelligence implementations (involving SQL Server 2005/2008 tools)
- Report Development including MDX query; Cube Development including MDX calculations.
- Continuous focus and participation in developing and refining best practice for BI projects.
- The candidate also needs to have solid database background to support t-sql/stored procedure development and optimization.
Candidate Mandatory Requirements:
- Solid experience in Developing Reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (2005 or later)
- Solid experience in Developing analytic cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services (2005 or later)
- Understanding of data warehouse design concepts (Star Schema/Kimball)
- Ability to provide support and enhancement to existing Enterprise Business Intelligence Platform built on Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server)

- ETL implementation using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Advanced MDX Query
