Business Intelligence Consultant
Catapult Systems is a leading Microsoft technology consulting company. We are recruiting for a senior consultant with strong experience around data modeling and business intelligence. This position is located in our San Antonio office
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in development teams to deliver data warehouse and business intelligence solutions utilizing the Microsoft BI platform and other leading BI technologies
- Data modeling based on business requirements, and optimization of data models for business intelligence implementations
- Lead meetings in preparation of project planning directly with client business users and sponsors, including requirements and architecture review, and project milestone sessions
- Continuous focus and participation in developing and refining best practices for BI projects
Candidate Requirements
- Solid experience as a SQL Server 2005 BI developer
- Development experience in team environment with mid to high-end projects from inception through delivery with competency in most of the following areas
- Logical and physical database design experience
- SQL Server 2005
- RDBMS database development
- ETL implementation using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- BI presentation delivery utilizing SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other BI tools including ProClarity Client facing and thinking strategically from client's perspective to deploy correct solutions
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of the complete Microsoft BI platform, including:
- Business Scorecard Manager
- Performance Point Office 2007
- SharePoint 2007
- Leading BI & Performance Management technologies:
- Panorama
- MicroStrategy
- Business Objects
- Oracle BI (including Hyperion)
- Data Modeling tools
- Visio, ERwin or similar data modeling tools
- Other non-Microsoft database platform and ETL experience, including Oracle, Ab Initio, DataStage
- Relevant Microsoft Certifications
