Catapult Consultants Join Elite Microsoft MVP Group

(AUSTIN, July 2, 2009) – Catapult Systems, a Microsoft information technology (IT) consulting company, announced today that two of their consultants have been selected as a Microsoft® Most Valuable Professional (MVP). This elite annual award recognizes exceptional technical community leaders worldwide who actively share their real-world expertise with others.

First to receive MVP status was senior consultant David Morton (Catapult Houston) in the category of Visual C#. His blog can be viewed at http://blog.davemorton.net/. Also awarded MVP status was senior lead consultant Jason Sandys (Catapult San Antonio) in System Center Configuration Manager (Systems Administration); one of only 39 people to have attained MVP standing in this category. A contributing author to System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Unleashed, Sandys’ blog can be viewed at http://bit.ly/jasonsandys.

With fewer than 5,000 awardees worldwide, Microsoft MVPs are a highly select group of experts representing technology's best and brightest who share a deep commitment to community and a willingness to help others. Recognized annually, each MVP must undergo a rigorous review process which evaluates their technical expertise, as well as the quality, quantity and impact level of their technical community contributions for the past year.

“We are very proud to add David and Jason to the existing ranks of Catapult consultants who have achieved Microsoft MVP status,” said Sam Goodner, Catapult chief executive officer. “They represent an elite group of experts who actively share their unique expertise, and contribute to the success of our company and the broader IT community.”

Sandys’ and Morton’s award marks the second time this year that Catapult consultants have achieved MVP status. In February, managing consultant Cameron Fuller was recognized as a MVP in Data Center Management (Systems Center Operations Manager), as was principal consultant Matthew McDermott in Communications and Collaboration (SharePoint Server).
