Catapult Systems, a leading Microsoft IT consulting company, today announced the appointment of Robert Miles as Vice President of Solution Strategy. In this role Miles will work closely with Catapult’s leadership team to set the foundation for a new set of services. His focus will be on integrating technology and design to drive innovation and value for Catapult’s clients by leveraging new computing concepts such as cloud computing, social media, and new user experience technologies and platforms.

Miles joins Catapult with more than 20 years of technology management and team building experience including a deep knowledge of technical consulting, software architecture, design and development, infrastructure and business operations. Miles began his career in the U.S. Navy as an Information Management Officer. His first venture into IT consulting was with Lante, a nationwide IT consulting firm, as an enterprise architect. He was the chief technology officer and managing partner at Ascentium, which he helped grow from a 30-person boutique firm to a 650+ person professional service firm. He was most recently the VP of speakTECH’s Interactive Experience Group. 

Miles is a graduate of Oregon State University College of Engineering with a BS in Computer Science. A published author, Miles is also a Microsoft certified solutions developer and systems engineer, as well as a technical specialist.
